Hope House

The Children’s Advocacy Center-Hope House is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of child abuse in our community. Trained staff members conduct forensic interviews of children who have been abused, and those recorded sessions are often used in court proceedings to help us achieve justice on behalf of our child victims. The agency also provides ongoing therapy, family advocacy, and free child abuse prevention trainings to the community at large.

Safe Harbor and the Coordinated Community Response Team

Safe Harbor provides crisis intervention, safety planning, emergency shelter, empowerment advocacy, and other supportive services to survivors of domestic, family, and dating violence. Our domestic violence prosecutors and victim advocates work regularly with Safe Harbor to achieve justice on behalf of domestic abuse victims.

 Our office also partnered (along with Safe Harbor) to form the Coordinated Community Response Team in which a number of agencies work together for the following purposes: to provide coordinated interagency responses to domestic violence, ensure victim safety, meet victims’ needs, hold the offender accountable, make the system and legal process feel less overwhelming and disjointed for victims, and take collective responsibility for a victim’s experience and safety throughout the process.

 Northshore Technical Community College

We have partnered with Northshore Community College to offer help to eligible participants in our Pre-Trial Invention Program (also known as Diversion). Together with the community college, we are able to offer participants the opportunity to enroll in an educational program with the assistance of a counselor, who helps the potential student choose a career path and secure financial aid.
