St. Tammany Parish Grand Jury Indicts Two Covington Residents
in Connection wtih Lacombe Murder
Covington – District Attorney J. Collin Sims reports that on May 15, 2024, a St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted Marrio Haynes Jr., age 25 of Covington, and Megan Coleman, age 21 of Covington, for one count of Second degree murder and one count of Obstruction of justice. Haynes was also indicted on one count of Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The case involves the fatal shooting of Juwarren Martin at a Lacombe gas station on December 26, 2023. Detective Hayden Folse with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office headed the investigation. Assistant District Attorney Ronald Gracianette presented the case to the grand jury.
