St. Tammany Parish Grand Jury Indicts Slidell Man
For Murder Relating to Death of a 2-Year-Old Girl

COVINGTON – District Attorney J. Collin Sims reports that on April 17, 2024, a St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted Christopher Mikhail Baker, age 32 of Slidell, Louisiana, for second degree murder, second degree cruelty to juveniles, possession of fentanyl and cocaine and illegal carrying of weapons while in possession of fentanyl. This incident occurred in Slidell on January 7, 2024 and involved the death of a 2-year-old girl.  The child’s death was attributed to cocaine and fentanyl intoxication. 

Detective Winston Harbin, Jr. with the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office was in charge of the investigation.  Assistant District Attorney Ronnie Gracianette presented the case to the grand jury.
