Pearl River Couple Indicted For Sex Crimes

District Attorney Collin Sims reports that on January 30, 2025, a St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted 38-year-old Ashley Carambat and 37-year-old Steven Harden, both of Pearl River, for multiple sex crimes. Carambat was indicted for first degree rape of a child under the age thirteen, production of child pornography, aggravated crime against nature and sexual abuse of an animal. Harden was indicted for possession of child pornography and sexual abuse of an animal. The offenses are alleged to have occurred between 2018 and 2024. Detective Tyler Pathoumthong with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office headed the investigation. Assistant District Attorneys Angelina Valuri and Iain Dover with the District Attorney’s Office presented the case to the grand jury.
