COVINGTON—-District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that Felix Adams, Jr., age 22 of Slidell, was found guilty as charged of second degree murder, armed robbery, and obstruction of justice on Thursday, February 12thh, 2015. The twelve member St. Tammany Jury deliberated an hour and a half before returning the guilty verdict to 22nd Judicial District Judge Alison Penzato. Assistant District Attorneys Julie Knight and Harold Bartholomew, Jr. prosecuted the State’s case.

Adams and four accomplices were arrested by the Slidell Police Department after an adult male victim was killed. Adams shot the victim in the head while robbing him of drugs. The victim was mortally injured by the gun shot and was left in a ditch where he died. The vehicle where the shooting occurred was set on fire in an effort to obstruct the police investigation.

One accomplice, Trenton Johnson, age 20 of Slidell, was the driver of the vehicle where the shooting took place and pled guilty to manslaughter on December 19th, 2014. Johnson was sentenced by Judge Penzato to 25 years in prison.

Another accomplice, Darion Causey, age 22 of Slidell is set for trial in March 2015 for obstruction of justice and accessory after the fact charges. A third accomplice, Bobby Isidore, age 21 of Slidell, is awaiting trial in March 2015 on second degree murder and obstruction of justice charges. The final accomplice, Kishion Griffin, age 19 of Slidell, is awaiting trial in March 2015 for second degree murder.
