COVINGTON—District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that a St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted Casey Emile Melerine, 27, of Lacombe, Thursday (March 22) on a charge of second degree murder in the death of his father in Lacombe last year.
Melerine is accused in the beating death of his father, Joseph M. Deslatte, Jr., during an altercation on Dec. 2, 2017.
