COVINGTON—A St. Tammany Parish grand jury on Thursday (March 16) indicted John Colvert Braxton, 35, and Charles Michael Morgan, 56, both of Slidell, on aggravated rape charges in separate cases.
Braxton is accused of raping a child on many occasions, beginning in 2013, when she was 10 years old. The victim disclosed to her mother that Braxton woke her in the middle of the night many different times, brought her to the living room, and raped her while others in the home were sleeping. Braxton also is charged with aggravated crime against nature.
Morgan is accused of raping a boy from the time the child was 4 or 5 years old through age 7. The victim told his mother that Morgan touched him inappropriately, showed him pornography, and raped him.
