At the St. Tammany Parish Council meeting last night (Aug. 4), District 4 Councilman Michael Lorino, Jr., made a comment regarding the civil litigation between parish government and the District Attorney’s Office. Mr. Lorino said in part “it takes two to mediate…and the St. Tammany Parish President and St. Tammany Parish Council were willing to mediate, and the District Attorney was not.”
That statement is not accurate. In fact, I have mediated in good faith and continue to meet with the mediator. I hope this dispute is resolved soon for the benefit of the community.
