Covington woman indicted for embezzling funds from Madisonville school’s booster club

District Attorney Collin Sims reports that on November 19, 2024, a St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted 35-year-old Heather Long of Covington for theft valued over $25,000. Long is accused of embezzling funds between May, 2022, and February, 2024, from a bank account held by the Parents’ Club at Lake Castle Madisonville Private School. Long was arrested June 18, 2024, following an investigation by agents with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation. Special Agent Sean McLain was in charge of the investigation. Assistant District Attorney Butch Wilson presented the case to the grand jury.
