Washington Parish Grand Jury Indicts Two 15-Year-Old Bogalusa Boys
for Murder and Six Attempted Murders
Franklinton – District Attorney J. Collin Sims reports that on May 6, 2024, a Washington Parish grand jury indicted Frank Parker, age 15 of Bogalusa, and Jyhren Cotton, age 15 of Bogalusa, each on one count of second degree murder and six counts of attempted second degree murder. They will be tried as adults. The case involves a shooting at a Union Street residence in Bogalusa on April 13, 2024, which led to the death of a 16-year-old male juvenile.
Juvenile Detective Justin Blackwell with the Bogalusa Police Department headed the investigation. Assistant District Attorney Ronnie Gracianette presented the case to the grand jury.
