Washington Parish Grand Jury Indicts Man and Woman of First-Degree Murder
FRANKLINTON – Interim District Attorney J. Collin Sims reports that on February 6, 2024, a Washington Parish grand jury indicted Journell Nelson, age 20 of Bogalusa, and Gwendalyn Speights, age 24 of Bogalusa, of first-degree murder in the December 8, 2023 death of Ranshad Jefferson. Nelson was also indicted on illegal use of a firearm.
Assistant District Attorney Ronnie Gracianette presented the case to the grand jury.
